RAW MATERIALS AND INDUSTRIAL LOOK

RAW MATERIALS AND INDUSTRIAL LOOK

NIKE LAAKDAL EMPLOYEE STORE

Innovation through 3D printed materials and rotating wall panels

Laakdal, in Belgium, is the main Nike European distribution centre. We redesign and build from the ground their employee store to create a new 509 m2 space.

We were inspired by industrial factories. Dynamic diagonal lines were applied to give a sense of speed and movement. We used a combination of raw soles rubber, gym flooring and perforated metal to create a sportive approach to modern mosaic pattern walls. Laakdal logo was designed to integrate different sports into the word. Orange is the colour of Nike for internal communication, is showed in 3D and embossed elements through the store. All the quotes are expanded to their limits, as a conscious decision to make them even bolder.
I developed this project as a contributing member of the EMEA Nike Retail Design – Environmental Graphic Design team.
